This property is located in Needles, California, the “Gateway to the Colorado River”.  Needles is CENTERED between the Davis Dam, (just north of Laughlin, NV on the Arizona side) and Parker Dam which manufactures Lake Havasu and Lake Havasu City, AZ. The unspoiled condo location is  adjacent to one of only three bridges, which make it a high profile locality for something big!  Our site is accessible by well over one hundred thousand boats annually! Sound unbelievable? Well, it’s true! Boating and watercraft recreation is the #1 reason people flock to “the river”.  Needles especially, has some of the most magnificent beaches in Tri-State Area.

Six tour boats per day travel between Laughlin NV and Lake Havasu, AZ which voyage right past said property and under the Needles Bridge mentioned earlier!  As most beach resorts, we rely on both winter visitors and summer water related sports activities.  Whether it’s fishing, gaming, golfing or boating, Needles is the CENTER of all the fun!!

#2 History

Historically, Needles attracted the railroad so that the steam engines could fill with water from tanks out of the Colorado River. In the early 1900’s, The Crown Jewel of all Harvey House’s (magnificent hotels between Los Angeles and Chicago) was built and named “El Garces” which is presently being restored by Allan Affeldt from Winslow,

#3 Notoriety

Famous and infamous people have stayed at the El Garces such as Wyatt Earp, General  Mac Arthur, General George S. Patton and Judy Garland who by the way was the leading star in the motion picture “The Harvey Girls” while filming in the El Garces. The “Fighting Irish” of Notre Dame also stayed there when traveling by train.  Needles was the home of Charles Schultz, the author of the “Peanuts” comic strip that we all grew up with and loved. He and his family lived here in his formative years, as his father was employed as a barber. You remember Snoopy’s brother “Spike”? Spike lived with the coyotes outside of Needles and was mentioned twenty seven times in the comic strip!  Needles has an exciting and flourishing past and as the old saying goes “History has a way of repeating itself”
